Progress post! The design for the armature is finalized! I'll be creating three different types of joints:
1. Ball Joint - allows for the most motion, used for the back and feet
2. Leg Joint - allows the cat to move forward and backwards, but can also lets the arm lift at a ninety degree angle
3. Knee Joint - most controlled motion, single-axis
The tail will be made of twisted armature wire. The neck will have a knee joint that lets it move up and down, with a brass pipe protruding from it to attach different heads.
